WORCESTER — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot early Monday morning on Dorchester St, prompting an investigation by the Worcester Police Department.
Officers responded to a call at about 2:35 a.m. and arrived to find the victim unconscious inside a truck.
After being flagged down by passersby, they attempted to provide medical aid to the man, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives have since arrived at the scene and are conducting a follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
