CAMBRIDGE — A joint investigation by the Vermont State Police and the Lamoille County Special Investigations Unit has led to a citation for a Utah man in connection with a 2004 sexual assault case.
Ryan Travis, 46, of Park City, Utah, was cited for aggravated sexual assault following an extensive review of the incident which allegedly took place nearly two decades ago in Cambridge.
The case was reopened in June last year, leading to the recent development.
Authorities have not released details about the victim, adhering to policies that protect the identities of individuals involved in sexual assault and domestic violence cases.
Travis is expected to face the charges in Lamoille County Superior Court on Jan. 22.
