Suspect cited for theft from vehicles in St. George

ST. GEORGE — Vermont State Police cited a Randolph man for allegedly stealing items from vehicles and possessing stolen property following an incident in St. George on Wednesday.

Ryan Tomasi, 31, was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Jan. 23 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges of petit larceny from a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Authorities responded to reports of suspicious activity near 30 Barber Road around 8:34 a.m. on Dec. 11.

Upon arrival, troopers discovered discarded items near a local store, which were suspected to be stolen.

In cooperation with the Hinesburg Police Department and Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles, state police quickly located two individuals connected to the incident.

Tomasi was found in possession of stolen items, according to law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing.
