ROCHDALE — A Rochdale man was sentenced to 10 years in state prison Tuesday for multiple child sexual abuse crimes.
Richard Hokanson, 40, received the sentence in Worcester Superior Court, along with 3-4 years of probation upon release.
He was convicted of rape of a child, possession of child pornography, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and photographing an unsuspecting person in the nude.
The crimes occurred in Oxford in June 2019 and were reported to the Oxford Police Department in September 2019 after a family friend discovered evidence.
Oxford police said the case was investigated jointly by Leicester and Oxford detectives.
Search warrants were executed in both towns, leading to the recovery of crucial evidence.
A jury found Hokanson guilty on Nov. 20.
