BOSTON — Two men face drug trafficking charges after their arrest Tuesday in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, police said.

Members of the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Unit arrested Dakwain Nwaford, 33, of Boston, and Terrell Jackson, 30, of Dorchester, at about 12:13 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2024.

Officers conducting an ongoing drug investigation observed a vehicle park on East Dedham Street.

The target suspect, who had an active arrest warrant, exited an apartment and entered the vehicle.

Police followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near Taber Street and Harrison Avenue.

Officers handcuffed the front passenger due to the warrant and found multiple packages of crack cocaine on the driver during a pat frisk.

A subsequent search warrant execution yielded 18 plastic bags of crack cocaine, 13 plastic bags of marijuana, and $535 in cash.

The crack cocaine weighed approximately 25 grams.

Nwaford was charged with trafficking of Class B substances, possession with intent to distribute Class B and Class D substances, and distribution of Class B substances as a subsequent offense.

Jackson faces charges of trafficking Class B substances and possession with intent to distribute Class D substances.

Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
