WAITSFIELD — A Waitsfield woman was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers responded to a report of a domestic assault at a residence on North Rd. in Waitsfield at 1:23 a.m.
Upon arrival, they investigated an incident involving 33-year-old Ashley Metevier and her spouse.
Authorities determined Metevier to be the dominant aggressor in the altercation.
She was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
In line with policy, the Vermont State Police did not release the name of the 39-year-old victim, as the case involves an act of domestic violence.
The case remains under investigation, and further details will be disclosed as they become available.
