SHEFFIELD — A single-vehicle accident occurred on I 91 North at mile marker 150.4 during moderate snowfall, resulting in minor injuries to the driver, Vermont State Police reported.
At approximately 1:56 p.m. Monday, authorities were called to the scene where Shelby Atlas, 28, of Newport, lost control of her 2017 Nissan Sentra.
The vehicle left the roadway, striking the shoulder and flipping onto its roof.
Atlas, who was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.
The Sheffield – Wheelock Fire Department and Lyndonville Rescue responded to the incident.
The snow-covered roads contributed to the hazardous driving conditions.
The Nissan Sentra suffered significant damage to the roof and front end.
The Vermont State Police are investigating the crash.
