WEST WARWICK — The West Warwick Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying several individuals linked to vandalism at a local middle school.
Authorities reported that on the night of Nov. 7, a group of individuals caused extensive damage to a newly renovated classroom situated just outside Deering Middle School.
According to the police, the suspects are believed to be teenagers residing near the school, which is adjacent to the West Warwick/Warwick border close to New London Ave.
Before the incident, video footage captured several suspects riding motorized dirt bikes, emerging from the wooded area behind the school.
Although acknowledging that the photo quality is subpar, the police are hopeful that someone might recognize distinctive features such as the clothing or dirt bikes.
The West Warwick Police Department encourages anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the individuals to contact them.
Tips can be submitted by messaging the WWPD Facebook page or calling Detective Nicolas Santilli directly at (401) 827-9007.
The department has assured the public that all tips will remain anonymous.
