Barre man arrested for vehicle vandalism, outstanding warrant

WASHINGTON — A 61-year-old Barre man was arrested Nov. 10 after he turned himself in at the Berlin Barracks for an incident that occurred the previous day involving vandalism to a vehicle.

Vermont State Police said Mark Loverin was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for simple assault, unlawful mischief, and disorderly conduct.

The arrest stemmed from a report on Nov. 9 at 12:50 p.m. that Loverin had struck the window of Pat Chen’s vehicle with a rock, causing damage, on Vermont Route 110 in Washington.

Chen, a 31-year-old resident of Washington, was identified as the victim in the incident.

Following his arrest, Loverin was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division and was subsequently released.
