OAK BLUFFS — A local man was arrested on drug charges after a months-long investigation by the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force and the DEA Cape Cod Regional Office into alleged cocaine distribution on the island.

Everton G. Facey, who had previously been arrested for a related offense in 2016, was apprehended again on Oct. 7 at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Task force members boarded a Steamship Authority ferry upon its arrival at the Vineyard Haven terminal and took Facey into custody without incident on two outstanding arrest warrants for cocaine distribution.

Following the arrest, officers executed search warrants on Facey and his 2006 Honda Accord.

The charges against Facey are specifically for two counts of distribution of cocaine.

Facey was arraigned in the Edgartown District Court earlier this week and was released on $5,000 bail.
