BOURNE — A joint operation between the Bourne Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and Barnstable Police led to the recovery of a stolen black Hyundai Santa Fe and the apprehension of its occupants early this morning.
At approximately 5:55 a.m., Bourne Police located the vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier in the day from Barnstable.
The car was stopped on the on-ramp from the East Rotary in Buzzards Bay to the Bourne Bridge/Route 25.
All individuals in the stolen vehicle were taken into custody without incident.
They were then transferred to the custody of Barnstable Police.
The driver of the Santa Fe was transported to a local hospital due to an unrelated illness.
Barnstable Police are now leading the ongoing investigation into the incident.
