FAIR HAVEN — A local man was arrested on charges of simple assault following a physical altercation that left another individual injured, police said.
Eduardo E. Aviles, 49, was taken into custody by the Fair Haven Police Department on Aug. 30 after officers responded to a call at 4:23 p.m. reporting an assault on Main Street.
Senior Patrol Officer Cheri McDermott and Patrol Officer Tyler Duel conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of Aviles.
According to authorities, Aviles allegedly got into a physical fight with another person, causing injury.
Aviles has been issued a citation to appear in Rutland District Court to answer to the charges.
The date of his court appearance was not immediately released.
