CHARLOTTE — A local man was arrested for aggravated domestic assault following a family dispute on Higbee Road on Sunday afternoon.
Vermont State Police reported that at approximately 4:32 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the scene of the altercation.
Upon investigation, they determined that Christopher Carpentier, 36, had committed the offense of aggravated domestic assault.
Carpentier was taken into custody and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.
Following processing, he was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Criminal Division on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
The name of the victim has not been released by authorities in accordance with privacy policies for cases of domestic violence.
Court action is pending following Carpentier’s appearance before a judge.
