Worcester police arrest man after complaints of inappropriate behavior

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department officers arrested a man Wednesday after he reportedly behaved inappropriately toward a child at Coes Pond.

The incident occurred on Aug. 7 when police were dispatched following a report of an adult male’s improper conduct with a minor.

Authorities stated that upon their arrival, they were informed by witnesses that a child had been inappropriately touched by an older male.

The situation was disrupted by three individuals who then followed the suspect to his location and contacted the police.

The man, who has been the subject of various community complaints for similar behavior, had an active arrest warrant for a related offense.

Following the arrest, the suspect is facing new charges in connection with the latest incident.

Due to the sensitive nature of the allegations, officials have stated that no additional information will be disclosed regarding the charges.
