Westbrook man sentenced to 9 years for stabbing, assault on officer

WESTBROOK — A Westbrook man was sentenced to nine years in prison followed by four years of probation for a stabbing incident that occurred earlier this year.

On Jan. 30, Westbrook Police Department officers responded to a reported stabbing in a parking lot on Main Street.

The victim was swiftly transported to a local hospital and survived the attack.

The following day, police apprehended the suspect, 38-year-old Damian Green, also from Westbrook.

Green faced multiple charges, including Aggravated Attempted Murder, Terrorizing, Assault on an Officer, Refusing to Submit to Arrest, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

After a thorough investigation, authorities were able to quickly locate and arrest Green, ensuring the violent offender was promptly removed from the streets.

The case was recently adjudicated, resulting in Green’s sentencing.

The extensive efforts by Westbrook police officers have been credited for the successful resolution of this violent crime.
