HILLSBORO — A 69-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested on charges including possession of explosives and manufacturing child sexual abuse images, authorities said Thursday.
Maurice Morissette was taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant at his Winter Road residence in the Emerald Lake area on Aug. 8.
The raid was the result of an investigation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies.
Collaborating on the case were the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and the Antrim Police Department.
Morissette, who is now facing charges of possession of explosives, manufacture of child sexual abuse images, and possession of child sexual abuse images, was held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
He is awaiting arraignment, the timeline for which has not been disclosed.
Officials have not released further details about the investigation or the circumstances leading to Morissette’s arrest.
The case is ongoing, and additional information is expected to be provided as the legal process advances.
