Boston police seek tips in Mattapan animal abuse case involving three dead dogs

BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in an animal abuse investigation after three deceased dogs were discovered inside an abandoned U-Haul truck in Mattapan.

At approximately 8:58 p.m., on Tuesday, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) found the animals at 69 Edgewater Drive.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating to determine the circumstances that led to the death of these dogs.

The identities of those who choose to assist in the investigation anonymously will be protected by the Boston Police Department.
