Brookline police investigate late-night gunfire on Egmont Street

BROOKLINE — Brookinle Police are investigating a shooting incident after multiple reports of gunfire were received on Saturday night, June 15.

At around 10:41 p.m., the Brookline Police Dispatch was alerted by residents about possible gunshots heard in the vicinity of 14 Egmont Street.

Witnesses described seeing two individuals, both black males dressed in dark clothing and wearing black masks, in the area at the time of the incident.

Police officers promptly responded to the scene to conduct a thorough search but found that the suspects had already fled.

During their investigation, officers discovered seven spent .45 caliber shell casings behind the Egmont Street address.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the shooting.

Brookline detectives have taken over the investigation and are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
