Boston police nab suspect in Dorchester break-in

BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers on Monday morning apprehended an 18-year-old suspect accused of attempting to break into a Dorchester apartment.

At about 9:19 a.m., officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call at 31 Radcliffe Street where a breaking and entering was reportedly in progress.

The suspect, identified as Tahj Woody of Dorchester, allegedly tried to gain entry through a bathroom window of the victim’s residence.

After receiving a description of Woody, officers began searching the neighborhood and soon spotted him near the intersection of Harvard Street and Blue Hill Avenue.

Woody was approached by the police and was handcuffed without any resistance.

Woody has been charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with the intent to commit a felony.

He is scheduled for arraignment at Dorchester District Court.
