Westbrook teen arrested for robbery and assault near former pool

WESTBROOK — A Westbrook teenager has been arrested and charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and theft following an incident near the old Warren Pool on Main Street, police reported.

On May 28, Westbrook Police received a report of a juvenile being robbed and pistol-whipped.

An immediate investigation was launched, leading to the identification of a suspect.

On June 1, during the local Together Days event, officers recognized the suspect and swiftly apprehended him.

The 17-year-old male, a Westbrook resident, was taken into custody without incident.

Following his arrest, the teenager was transported to the Longcreek Youth Detention Center.

The Westbrook Police Department has not disclosed further details about the incident or the condition of the victim.

The case is ongoing as authorities continue their investigation.
