Plympton police, fire respond to crash

PLYMPTON — Police and fire departments responded to a motor vehicle accident early Friday morning in the area of 24 Palmer Road, with utility crews expected to repair a damaged power pole.

The Plympton Police Department (PPD) and Plympton Fire Department (PFD) were called to the scene where a vehicle had collided with a power pole, causing significant damage.

Eversource, the local electricity provider, announced that their teams would be on-site to fix the pole.

Authorities have not released information on the cause of the accident or any potential injuries sustained.

However, they are advising residents and commuters to expect traffic delays in the area.

The PPD has not given an estimated time for when the repairs will be completed and normal traffic flow will be restored.
