Pawlet resident arrested for DUI after crashing into building

PAWLET — A single-vehicle crash led to the arrest of a local resident for driving under the influence early Saturday morning.

On June 8, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to an incident at 210 VT RT 133 where a 2014 Nissan Rogue, operated by 23-year-old London Bremel of Pawlet, had crashed into a building.

The vehicle was totaled, but no injuries were reported at the scene.

Troopers noted that Bremel, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, showed signs of alcohol impairment.

After conducting a DUI screening, Bremel was arrested and taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

Bremel was later released with a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division.

Bremel faces charges including DUI and a civil violation complaint for not maintaining her lane.
