Multiple arrests made by Rhode Island State Police for outstanding warrants

SCITUATE — Rhode Island State Police Troopers, following separate investigations and motor vehicle stops, have arrested three individuals on outstanding warrants for various charges, including failure to stop for an accident and robbery.

At 9 a.m., Troopers took Mansour Dione, 25, of Pawtucket into custody on an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Failure to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to an Attended Vehicle, which originated from the State Police Scituate Barracks.

Dione’s arrest was the culmination of a barracks investigation by Trooper Moya and the assistance of Woonsocket Police Department, who had Dione in their custody.

Following transport to State Police Headquarters for processing, Dione was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Facility – Men’s Intake as a probation violator.

Later in the day, at 2:30 p.m., Jayvon Nunez, 26, of Providence, was arrested for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on a technical violation related to an original charge of First-Degree Robbery.

Nunez’s arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in Providence.

He was processed at State Police Headquarters and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Facility – Men’s Intake Center.

Just five minutes later, at 2:35 p.m., Franklin Liberato, 29, of Cranston, was also arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in Providence.

Liberato was wanted on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault from the Central Falls Police Department.

After processing at State Police Headquarters, Liberato was handed over to the Adult Correctional Facility – Men’s Intake Center.
