Man arrested on domestic assault charges in Braintree

BRAINTREE — Vermont State Police arrested a Braintree man Friday evening following a domestic assault incident.

At 7 p.m., authorities responded to a call from a residence on Sesame Street.

Andrew Picken, 35, was accused of causing pain and injury to a domestic partner.

Following the incident, Picken was apprehended and taken to the Royalton barracks for processing.

He was subsequently released on court-ordered conditions and cited to appear before the Orange County Superior Court at a later date to face charges related to the assault.

In accordance with privacy policies, the Vermont State Police did not disclose the name of the victim.
