Domestic assault arrest in Braintree

BRAINTREE — Vermont State Police arrested a 29-year-old Barnard man on charges of domestic assault following an incident on Chateauguay Road on June 7.

Troopers responded to the scene at 7:37 p.m. and determined that Jonathan Sokolsky had caused fear of pain and injury to a domestic partner.

Details regarding the victim have not been released by police, adhering to policies that protect the identities of domestic violence victims.

Sokolsky was taken into custody and transported to the Royalton barracks for processing.

Following the arrest, he was given court-ordered conditions of release and cited to appear before the Windsor County Superior Court at a date and time to be determined, where he will answer to the charges.
