BOSTON — Boston Police Department officials are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault that occurred last year on Tremont Street.

At about 1:48 a.m. on Nov. 5, officers from District 1 were dispatched to 279 Tremont Street following reports of an assault in progress.

Upon arrival, witnesses informed authorities that the male victim had been punched in the face by an unidentified assailant, who subsequently escaped on a white party bus accompanied by several other males.

The suspect has been described as a light-skinned black male in his late 20s to early 30s, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build.

He is reported to have a beard and was last seen wearing tan-colored clothing and black high-top sneakers.

The victim suffered serious brain injuries due to the attack.

Further inquiries revealed that the party bus was carrying a group celebrating a 21st birthday party and was heading towards the South Bay area to drop off passengers.

It is believed that the suspect may frequent the Albion, Dudley, Clifton, and Cottage Streets vicinity.

Detectives from District A-1 are actively reviewing the incident and urge anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact them at (617) 343-6161.

The identities of those who opt to assist anonymously will be kept confidential by the Boston Police Department.
