Two dead in Charlestown house fire

CHARLESTOWN — New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Fire Chief Mark LaFlam, and Charlestown Police Chief Patrick Connors reported a fatal fire at 1B Crown Point Drive on June 6.

The blaze claimed the lives of two individuals.

Authorities received a 9-1-1 call just before 7 a.m. about smoke emanating from a mobile home.

Upon arrival and entry by Charlestown firefighters, an adult male was found dead.

After extinguishing the fire, a second deceased adult female was discovered.

There were no other injuries reported.

Identification of the victims along with the cause and manner of death await autopsy results from the NH State Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord, scheduled for June 7.

The NH State Fire Marshal’s Office, alongside Charlestown Fire and Police Departments, are conducting an active investigation to determine the fire’s origin and cause.
