Plymouth man charged with vandalism at Killington motel

KILLINGTON — On June 4, at approximately 12:12 a.m., Vermont State Police troopers were called to the Val Roc Motel for a reported disturbance.

Authorities received several calls about a man breaking windows at the motel.

Upon arrival, troopers identified the suspect as 50-year-old Norman Bevins of Plymouth.

An investigation revealed that Bevins had damaged property at the Val Roc Motel without any legal right to do so.

Bevins was subsequently issued a citation to appear at the Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. to face charges of unlawful mischief.

The Val Roc Motel, the victim of the incident, sustained several broken windows during the event.

Further details regarding the motives or the extent of the damages were not immediately available.

State Police continue to investigate the incident.
