Springfield police seek public’s help to find stolen van, identify suspect

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Police Department’s Auto Theft Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a stolen vehicle and identifying a suspect linked to the theft.

At around 10 a.m. on April 3, a white 2014 Ford Ecovan was reported stolen from the 400 block of Oak Street in the Indian Orchard neighborhood.

Authorities said the van did not have license plates at the time of the theft, but it might now display a dealer plate with the identification MA 1109E.

The police have released an image of the suspect believed to be responsible for the theft and are asking for help to identify and locate the individual.

Residents with any information about the suspect’s identity, whereabouts, or the stolen van are urged to contact the Springfield Police Detective Bureau at 413-787-6355.

In addition to calling, tips can be sent privately via Facebook messaging or anonymously through the Text-A-Tip service.

The Springfield Police Department extends their gratitude to the community for any support in resolving this case.
