Motorcycle crash in Berwick leaves New Hampshire man seriously injured

BERWICK — A motorcycle accident on Saturday evening resulted in serious injuries for a New Hampshire man, according to the Berwick Police Department.

On June 1 at 7:34 p.m., Berwick Police, Fire Department, and Stewart’s Ambulance were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle near 149 Long Swamp Road.

Robert Welch, 48, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, was operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle when it left the roadway, leading to his ejection from the vehicle.

Welch sustained serious injuries in the incident and was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, for treatment.

The York Police Department is currently reconstructing the crash, which remains under investigation.

Authorities are seeking information from anyone who may know about the events leading up to the accident.
