BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department arrested a 16-year-old boy for possession of ammunition after responding to a 911 call about a person with a gun at a Dorchester house party Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at 72 Wildwood St., where a large gathering of 100-150 people had congregated.

Upon their arrival, police were given a description of the suspect: a black male in his late teens, wearing a black face mask and all black clothing, with a firearm near his waist.

Navigating through the crowd, officers located an individual matching the suspect’s description.

During their investigation, they found a loaded 9mm Lugar magazine containing 10 rounds in a fanny pack worn across the suspect’s chest.

The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of ammunition.

He is set to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
