Wilmington police seek hit-and-run suspect after road rage incident

WILMINGTON — Wilmington police are appealing to the public for information about a hit-and-run collision that occurred on June 1, resulting from an alleged road rage incident.

At around 5:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident along VT Route 100.

The initial investigation revealed that the crash involved a teal blue mid-1990s Mazda B-Series truck, which fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive.

The suspect vehicle is notable for having stripe marks on both the driver and passenger doors.

The license plate number of the truck, registered in Vermont, remains unknown.

Witnesses described the occupants of the fleeing vehicle as two white males in their mid-20s, with the driver sporting a beard.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or its occupants to contact Officer Kirkman at the Wilmington Police Department at 802-464-8593.
