Providence man arrested on multiple warrants after traffic stop

WEST GREENWICH — Troopers arrested a Providence man on Saturday after a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 led to the discovery of outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Innocent Soman, 23, was taken into custody at 4:27 p.m. on warrants for failing to appear in court on charges including driving with an expired license and passing counterfeit certificates.

The arrest was executed by the Rhode Island State Police following a traffic stop in the town of West Greenwich.

The warrants originated from the East Providence Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police Headquarters.

After the arrest, Soman was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

He was later taken to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
