Jeep driver under influence strikes parked car in West Haven

WEST HAVEN — A collision involving a Jeep and a parked car brought emergency responders to Rangely Street on May 31.

The West Haven Fire Department and Police Department were called to the scene between Fairfax and Enfield Street at approximately 5:20 p.m. after reports of the crash.

Authorities determined that the driver of the Jeep was under the influence when he hit the parked vehicle.

The individual was transported from the scene by American Medical Response for treatment.

Further details on the driver’s condition and potential charges have not been released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
