Templeton police, firefighters save horses from blaze at Liberty Belle Stables

TEMPLETON — A structure fire at Liberty Belle Stables was reported Thursday night, prompting a swift response from local authorities that resulted in the rescue of several horses.

At 9:06 p.m., Templeton Dispatch received a call about a fire at 556 Patriots Road.

Within two minutes, officers from the Templeton Police Department were on the scene, confronting heavy flames at both the residence and barn of the equestrian facility.

The responding officers quickly communicated the urgency to dispatch, requesting additional firefighting units.

They bravely assisted an individual at the scene and managed to lead the horses out of the barn to safety before the fire could engulf the structure completely.

The Templeton Fire Department, supported by mutual aid from neighboring agencies, arrived shortly after and assumed command of the scene.

Their efforts controlled the blaze, but not before the barn was consumed by the fire.

All horses were reported to be safe following the incident and have been relocated.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
