Plainville police seek help identifying grocery store theft suspect

PLAINVILLE — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who attempted to steal from the Big Y grocery store on May 30.

According to the Plainville Police Department, the suspect was confronted by the store’s loss prevention staff before he fled the scene in a white SUV.

The vehicle reportedly had no visible license plates.

Authorities released a surveillance photo of the male suspect in hopes that someone might recognize him and provide information leading to his identification and arrest.

Officer Otis, badge number 39, is handling the investigation.
