MONTPELIER — Vermont State Police, along with the East Montpelier Fire Department and East Montpelier Ambulance Service, responded to a report of a single vehicle accident at 11:38 a.m. on VT Rte. 14 near Fassett Rd.
Scott Favreau, 41, of Derby, was driving a 2017 Jeep Renegade southbound when he veered off the shoulder of the road.
The Jeep sustained significant damage and was declared totaled at the scene.
Favreau, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, suffered minor injuries.
Emergency responders transported him to Central VT Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
The weather and road conditions were reported clear at the time of the incident.
