DERBY — The Vermont State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart in Derby this afternoon. No injuries were reported.
At approximately 4:25 p.m., police received reports that a suspect had fired at least one shot at another individual in the parking lot. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a gray Chevrolet Equinox with unknown license plates.
Initial investigation suggests that the shooting was a targeted event, and there is no general threat to the public at large.
