Boat accident at Harriman Reservoir leaves one victim not breathing

WILMINGTON — Deputies from the Windham County Sheriff’s Office joined a multi-agency response to a boat accident at Harriman Reservoir on Saturday, where a victim was reported not to be breathing.

The incident, which drew a significant emergency response, involved personnel from Wilmington Fire Department, Whittingham Fire Department, Deerfield Valley Rescue, Wilmington Police, Dover Police, Vermont State Police, and Vermont Fish & Wildlife.

Additionally, a LifeNet of New York helicopter was dispatched to the scene, along with two deputies from the sheriff’s office.

According to authorities, calls came in about the boat accident early in the afternoon.

Rescue teams worked together to provide emergency services.
