Henniker police arrest motorist on outstanding warrant

HENNIKER — Officer Christian Kyle of the Henniker Police Department arrested a motorist for an outstanding warrant after a routine traffic stop on Route 202&9 on May 9 led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

While on patrol, Officer Kyle observed a vehicle traveling at 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.

After running the vehicle’s license plate, he discovered the registered owner had an electronic bench warrant for their arrest.

During the traffic stop, Officer Kyle spoke with the vehicle’s owner and two passengers, where he noticed drug-related items inside the car.

The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant.

Upon being granted the search warrant, Kyle found drug paraphernalia and several powders suspected to be controlled substances.

The owner was arrested due to the outstanding warrant, and following the search, all individuals involved were arrested and charged with drug-related offenses.
