Three injured in Scarborough traffic collision, police seek witnesses

SCARBOROUGH — A serious motor vehicle accident on County Road near Riverwoods Drive resulted in injuries to three people and closed a section of the road Monday morning.

Scarborough Public Safety Communications received the report of the crash at about 9 a.m. Emergency personnel from Scarborough Public Safety, Westbrook Fire, Gorham Fire, Buxton Police Department and Maine State Police responded to the scene.

The injured parties, identified as Tina Rea, 48, and Tomas Escobar, 47, both from Buxton, along with one juvenile, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the collision.

As of now, County Road remains closed to traffic between Broadturn Road and Hodgdon Road as authorities conduct an investigation into the cause of the accident.
