Stamford man in stable condition after being shot in the head

STAMFORD — A 20-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Sunday afternoon in Stamford, prompting a police investigation into the shooting.

At around 2:52 p.m., Stamford Police responded to reports of a shooting at 33 Spruce St. Upon arrival, officers discovered Kaysean Manning, a Stamford resident, with a gunshot wound to the side of his head.

Emergency services transported Manning to Stamford Hospital, where he underwent surgery.

He is currently reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing several unidentified individuals fleeing the area shortly after the shooting occurred.

The Stamford Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit, led by Sgt.

William Garay, is actively seeking information from the public to aid in the investigation.
