Rhode Island troopers make multiple arrests, including for possession of a stolen vehicle and DUI

NORTH KINGSTOWN — At 12:45 p.m., Rhode Island State Troopers arrested Juan Franquis Rodriguez, 21, of Providence, on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and an affidavit and arrest warrant for robbery, assault with intent to commit robbery, and breaking and entering of a dwelling, following a traffic stop on Route 4.

Rodriguez was processed at the Wickford Barracks and presented as a bail violator before being turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center.

Later that evening, at 7:30 p.m., Jadin Nunez, 20, also of Providence, turned himself in at the barracks in connection with a hit-and-run incident.

He was charged with failure to stop in an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, processed, and later released with a scheduled court appearance.

Early the next morning, David Powers, 28, of Warwick, was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content significantly over the legal limit.

Powers was stopped on Post Road in Warwick and taken to Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and released to a responsible adult.
