Man assaults two McDonald’s employees with a knife in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — A man assaulted two McDonald’s employees with a knife following a payment dispute at a drive-thru window in Plymouth on May 25, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the fast-food restaurant located in the rest area at Exit 13 off Route 3.

After the altercation, the assailant fled in a dark-colored SUV heading south on Route 3.

Plymouth police officers provided first aid to the victims, a 28-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, until Plymouth Fire and EMS arrived.

Both employees were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had been involved in a similar stabbing incident earlier in Braintree.

Massachusetts State Police later spotted the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a pursuit that ended when the suspect crashed in Sandwich.

The individual was apprehended and taken into custody.

The Massachusetts State Police, with the assistance of the Braintree Police Department, are conducting an ongoing investigation into the series of events.

The Plymouth rest area falls under the jurisdiction of the State Police.

The Plymouth Police Department extended thoughts and well-wishes to the victims for a quick recovery.
