Dublin man found dead in lake, drowning suspected

DUBLIN — At approximately 3:00 p.m. on May 24, Dublin Police were called to the north side of Dublin Lake where a man was found unresponsive in the water by a couple paddle boarding.

First responders removed 51-year-old Timothy Aeschliman, of Fitchburg, MA, from the water and pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Aeschliman was wearing a wetsuit and a swimming cap when discovered.

His vehicle and sneakers were found near the shore, several hundred feet west of where his body was located.

While preliminary investigations suggest the incident may be an accidental drowning, the Dublin Police Department, New Hampshire Marine Patrol, and the Office of the Medical Examiner are continuing to investigate the cause of death.

The Dublin Fire Department, Peterborough Fire Department, and New Hampshire State Police provided assistance at the scene.

As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities have not released any further details at the moment.
