NORWOOD — A motor vehicle collision involving a rollover occurred this morning near Coakley Middle School, resulting in one driver being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Norwood Police Department, alongside Norwood Fire, responded to the incident on Washington Street by the school’s entrance at approximately 10:15 a.m. On arrival, they discovered two vehicles involved in the accident, with one vehicle completely overturned and its driver trapped inside.

Emergency personnel from Norwood Fire successfully extricated the operator, who was then transported to a local hospital.

Washington Street was temporarily closed for traffic but has since been reopened following detours set up around the crash area.
