Officers from Boston arrest suspect in domestic violence incident

BOSTON — Officers from District E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) of the Boston Police Department made an arrest involving a male suspect where a firearm was present, highlighting the dangerous nature of domestic violence calls.

Domestic violence calls are among the most perilous 911 calls that Boston police officers face daily.

The incident underscores the department’s ongoing efforts to address and combat domestic violence in the community.

The Boston Police Department emphasizes that there is no excuse for domestic violence and encourages individuals in need of help or safety planning to reach out for support.

In emergencies, individuals are urged to call 911.

For non-emergency cases of domestic violence, community members can report incidents anonymously by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).

The department assures that the identities of those who assist in such cases will be protected.
