LEBANON — The Lebanon Police Department has issued a warning about a scammer who is falsely claiming to represent the department and using its official phone number to solicit money and advise residents of fraudulent warrants.

According to authorities, the scam calls come from the department’s actual number, 603-448-1212, but they emphasize that these calls are not legitimate.

The police department is urging the public not to give out any personal or financial information over the phone and to always verify the legitimacy of any law enforcement organization before disclosing such details.

The Lebanon Police Department is actively investigating the scam and working on measures to prevent further incidents.

Residents who receive a suspicious call or have information regarding the scam are encouraged to contact the police department directly at 603-448-1212.
