Multi-agency task force seizes cocaine, cash in Salem drug bust

SALEM — A suspected narcotics trafficker believed to be distributing cocaine in the North Shore region was taken into custody after a multi-agency operation led to the seizure of drugs, money, and paraphernalia.

Investigators from the Everett Police Department, along with their counterparts from Salem, Peabody, and the DEA Task Force 2, executed a search warrant in Salem, resulting in the confiscation of approximately 375 grams of alleged cocaine and roughly $14,000 in U.S. currency.

Various items used for drug processing were also found at the scene.

The male suspect apprehended during the raid is facing charges of trafficking in cocaine.

His arrest marks a significant step in ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb the flow of illegal narcotics in Everett and its neighboring communities.

The collaboration among local and federal agencies underscores the commitment to combatting drug distribution networks that impact the safety and wellbeing of the residents in the area.
