Boston police seek help locating missing 3-year-old boy

BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 3-year-old boy from Roxbury, believed to be with his mother.

Joshua Jones was last seen with his mother, Shalimar Harris, on May 15 in the vicinity of 41 Dimock Street.

The Department of Children and Families had recently been granted custody of Joshua, but Harris has not surrendered him to the agency.

Joshua is described as about 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 50 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair.

The Boston Police Department is actively searching for Joshua and has encouraged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact 911 or B-2 detectives at 617-343-4275.
